Our vision is that all our children and young people will achieve their full potential, be healthy and stay safe.
Three approaches will be central to the way we work:
Early Intervention and prevention: we will identify risks early and take preventative action, ensuring children, young people and their families receive help as soon as they need it, achieving positive outcomes as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Child-centred: we will put the needs of all children at the centre of our services, celebrating their diversity and listening to their voices and those of their families.
Partnership: we will work in co-ordinated and effective partnerships to maximise our impact and provide joined-up services that deliver good value for money.
We have identified five priorities that will help deliver our vision that all children achieve their full potential, are healthy and stay safe. These are the areas where we know we can, and should, make improvements and where we can make the most difference by working together across the whole Partnership.
These are:
1. Keep all children and young people safe
2. Improve the physical and mental health, emotional wellbeing and behaviour of vulnerable children and young people
3. Enable children and young people to achieve their full potential
4. Improve the life chances of children and young people at risk of poor outcomes through effective family support and engagement
5. Reduce the number of children and young people coming into care and be an excellent Corporate Parent for those in care
