In August 2006 as part of a public consultation, the Foster Avenue Open Space was re-named "Osgood Park" in memory of the late Peter Osgood (February 1947 - March 2006) the Windsor born footballer who played for Chelsea and Southampton and was capped 4 times for England's full international squad.
The park is one of the venues in the Royal Borough's 13 - 19 school holiday summer activity programme with staff on site every week day to help with coaching sessions and organised games.
