Trees in Oaken Grove

The land for Oaken Grove Park was purchased at the end of 1935. It was part of the Pinkneys Green Farm Estate, which had been developed for housing from the 1920s onwards.  The park was named after a grove of oak trees situated on the Farm Estate. The park was further developed during 1938 with the addition of park buildings and landscaping.  Maidenhead Town Bowling Club pavilion was opened later in 1939.  More recent developments include the refurbished children's play area and the addition of the Multi Use Play Area.
