600 consultations were delivered to local properties, there were 216 returned for the Town Moor Consultation.
Trees
Wildflower Meadow
Taking into account the comments raised and consultation results the majority of the trees will remain on site. The 10 trees in the inner circle , identified in the consultation , will be removed and grassed over.
Temporary haul route:
This has now been removed and work is progressing to level the area and sow grass seed. The cherry trees which were removed as part of the work to create the haul route will be replanted in the autumn of 2012.
Wild Flower Meadows:
The result of the consultation was a majority in favour of the removal of all the wild flower meadows, these will now be mown to bring them back into the same management regime as the remainder of the Moor. The only area of long grass that will remain will be those where daffodils have been planted - to allow the bulbs to grow and continue to flower .
