Suspended Parking Bays for removals

If you live in a Controlled Parking area or you are moving into a controlled parking zone then we may be able to help by suspending Parking Bays outside the property.

  • A notice period of 21 days (this includes the 14 day period for display of the notices), is required to implement the suspension
  • The charge for a suspension is £20.00 per bay (5.5 metres) per day
  • You will need to complete an application form for suspending parking bays
  • An invoice will be generated on receipt of a completed application form
  • Yellow notices will be displayed on street, 14 days prior to the suspension starting

Parking Dispensations

The Council recognises that on occasions it may be necessary for some vehicles to be parked near properties governed by parking restrictions. If it is considered essential that the vehicle must be parked nearby then, in certain circumstances, we will issue a dispensation, which permits a vehicle or vehicles to park lawfully in what otherwise would be a contravention of a Traffic Regulation Order.

A minimum of 48 hours notice (Monday-Friday) is required for the issue of a Dispensation Notice, however in instances where a dispensation is required on the same day this may be considered but a £50.00 late charge applies on top of the fees detailed below. Applications can be made via the Parking Dispensation online form . An invoice will be generated on receipt of a completed application form
