Parking Enforcement Frequently Asked Questions

Easily spotted in their distinctive blue uniforms and high visibility jackets, parking attendants will be out and about in town centres, Council car parks and residents' parking areas to enforce the SPA (Special Parking Area) regulations.

Parking attendants will not get bonuses or incentives for issuing a certain number of tickets. Their job will be to enforce parking regulations openly, fairly and consistently.

They will also act as Council ambassadors, providing advice and assistance to the community by reporting problems such as litter, graffiti and flytipping.

This means the Council will be able to deal with these problems and the offenders pursued.
