MIU Lives On !

We are residents in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead who have formed this group to enable all older people in the Royal Borough to be involved with all issues that concern them. We work together with the Royal Borough, the NHS Berkshire East PCT and voluntary agencies such as The Princess Royal Trust for Carers to review services and ensure that the opinions of older people are heard and listened to.

By working with and through the providers of all such services, we seek to get involved in the planning, reviewing, monitoring and development of all services which affect older people.

In this way we will be able to identify gaps in these services and thereby communicate our concerns and comments on existing services to the relevant organisations. We are able to act as a 'critical friend' to ensure that the voice of the older person is heard.

Our focus is to raise awareness of all issues affecting older people in the Borough, such as Services for Older People and Health & Social Care. Please see Related Links on the right to these areas.

So why not Join Us and bring your own experiences and concerns to the attention of the OPAF so that together we can work to improve life for all residents in the Borough. We want to hear from You about your thoughts and ideas on what we should be targeting, so please Contact us.

We hold our Annual General Meeting in December alternating between venues in Windsor and Maidenhead.
