Residents are invited to have their say on future plans for Maidenhead covering everything from business to housing, leisure and transport.
Their local insight and opinions will help build the Maidenhead Neighbourhood Plan and Cllr Philip Love, chairman of Maidenhead Town Forum, is urging residents to come along to any of three launch events.
He said: "We know Maidonians care about their town - this is clear from responses to the Local Transport Plan consultation, participation in various petitions and even letters to the papers. My appeal to residents is to make a positive contribution and join us in developing the Maidenhead Neighbourhood Plan. Remember it's your town, your future."
The events are being held at:
• Council Chamber, Maidenhead Town Hall, on Saturday 21 July from 10am to 4pm
• Long Barn, Norden Farm, on Wednesday 25 July from 7 to 9pm
• Furze Platt Memorial Hall on Thursday 2 August from 7 to 9pm.
Participants will be able to learn more about neighbourhood plans, meet other volunteers from across the community and speak to officers about the process.
They will also have the chance to join any of four topic groups:
• business and shops
• housing, built and natural environment
• community, leisure and countryside
• transport.
Cllr Love added: "You don't need expertise in business, retail, transport, planning or development to be involved, just a bit of local knowledge and passion for the town.
"The neighbourhood plan cannot change major decisions like how many houses should be built in each area but it can help decide where they could be built over the next 15 years."
