Staying safe on the borough's roads is the aim of a motorcyclists' safety day on Saturday 30 June from 10am to 2pm at All Saints Church, Dedworth Road, Windsor.
Community warden Stuart Hookway, together with other experienced motorcyclists from a range of organisations including Bikesafe (affiliated to Thames Valley Police), TVAM (Thames Valley Advanced Motorcyclists) and MAG (Motorcyle Action Group), is hosting the session aimed at new or learner riders of motorbikes and scooters.
Participants will receive advice and information on how to stay safe on the roads and will also learn about the best protective clothing.
Cllr Phill Bicknell, cabinet member with responsibility for community safety, said: "As the name suggests, better riding is not a one-time benefit but a real skill for life.
"The majority of collisions are caused by driver or rider error and so improving safety skills is key. There are further benefits though, such as encouraging the rider to feel confident on the road, to make good progress and to get greater enjoyment from the experience.
"I would urge new and experienced motorcyclists to come along and find out how to be safer on the roads."
