There's still time for talented Royal Borough youngsters to apply for this year's round of sports and arts bursaries.
Young people under the age of 25 involved in arts activities need to be first off the starting blocks as their deadline is Monday 4 July for bursary applications.
Youngsters with talent in the performing arts, photography, sculpture, ceramics, painting, drawing and new media are invited to apply for a bursary to help with the cost of training, travel and equipment.
Budding young sportsmen and women and their coaches have a few weeks longer to get their bursary applications in - with a deadline of Thursday 11 August.
Sports bursaries are available to young people and their coaches involved in a wide range of sports to help them with training costs in their bid for local, national and international recognition in their sport.
The coach bursary award scheme aims to acknowledge the vital contribution coaches make to sport and help towards coaching courses, purchase of equipment and clothing, and travelling expenses.
Nominations are also invited for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award presented to individuals who have made a significant contribution to sport in the borough over a number of years.
Cllr Simon Dudley, Cabinet Member for Adult and Community Services, said: "The Royal Borough's arts and sports bursary awards provide a great opportunity to help young people progress in their chosen field and we are delighted to be able to offer many of them a financial helping hand every year.
"All these young people demonstrate huge commitment and dedication and every single one of them deserves our support and help. Hopefully these awards can go some way to providing that support."
