Datchet St Mary's Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School has notched up an impressive triple with the news that it has achieved outstanding grades in all areas of its recent Specialist Inspection of Aided Schools (SIAS) report.
This follows a glowing Ofsted report in November and news this month that it has earned the Department for Children, Schools and Families' Activemark, which recognises efforts to promote physical activity within the school.
Church of England SIAS inspectors say of the popular and often oversubscribed school: "The distinctiveness and effectiveness of St Mary's as a Church of England school are outstanding. This is because of the vision and commitment of all in school to create a safe and effective learning environment that has Christian values firmly embedded at the heart of the school.
"This results in everyone being seen as being made equal in the sight of God, treated with care, respect and tolerance and given the opportunity to develop their individual capabilities."
The inspectors add: "The effectiveness of the leadership and management of the school as a church school are outstanding," and praise the staff, governors and clergy for their commitment to the personal and academic development of all pupils and the sense of belonging felt by pupils from various social and ethnic groups.
Cllr Eileen Quick, lead member for children's services, said: "Congratulations to the board of governors, staff and children for their commitment and enthusiasm which has resulted in another glowing report."
Chair of governors, Rev Chris Mattock, said: "At Datchet St Mary's everyone is treated as an individual with unique needs. We place great emphasis on Christian values and providing opportunities for the children to grow in confidence and to respect, care for and forgive one another."
Headteacher Jean Pinkerton added: "We are delighted to win the 'triple' but we certainly won't be resting on our laurels and will continue to build on spiritual and personal development and links with the wider community."
