The majority of Royal Borough services will be open for business as usual during Wednesday's national day of public services strike action.
Ian Trenholm, chief executive, said: "While some Royal Borough employees are exercising their right to strike we do not expect a major impact on council services.
"We have been working to ensure that appropriate cover is available for employees taking strike action, particularly to protect older and vulnerable residents. Our aim is to ensure our services will continue throughout the day and that disruption will be kept to the absolute minimum."
Waste collections are not expected to be interrupted and residents on the Wednesday pick up schedule are requested to put out their bins as usual.
Council day centres, care facilities and libraries will be open. Benefits payments will continue as normal.
There will be disruption to some schools and information will be available on the council's website from this morning (Tuesday) at www.rbwm.gov.uk/web/ed_schools_closed.htm. Alternatively parents can contact schools direct. A list of schools and their contact details is available at www.rbwm.gov.uk/web/ed_school_index.htm
Please continue to check the council website for updated information as it becomes available.
The national day of strike action has been called by UNISON, UNITE the Union and GMB in response to public sector pensions changes.
Residents who have queries about council services during the strike action should check the council's website at www.rbwm.gov.uk or contact 01628 683800.
