Nominations are being invited for a new councillor for the Pinkneys Green ward in Maidenhead ahead of a by-election to be held on Thursday 25 October.
The by-election has been called following the death of Cllr Wilson Hendry who had served as a ward councillor since 1991.
The deadline for candidates to submit their nominations in person to the Town Hall is Friday 28 September at 12noon.
Residents in the Pinkneys Green ward who have yet to respond to the annual canvass are encouraged to do so by Wednesday 10 October to ensure that they are eligible to vote in this and any future election.
The ward's two polling stations - at St Mark's Methodist Church at the junction of Farm Road and Allenby Road, and Pinkneys Green Youth and Community Centre in Blenheim Road - will both be open on polling day from 7am until 10pm.
The new councillor will serve alongside the ward's two other councillors, Charles Hollingsworth (Con) and Kathy Newbound (Lib Dem).
