Temporary road closures for Windsor town centre

Three Windsor town centre roads will be closed to traffic for three days in mid-September to allow work to progress on a building development.

Peascod Street, William Street and Oxford Road East will be closed from 10am on Monday 19 September to 8pm on Wednesday 21 September.

During the same period the bus stop outside Santander Bank in Peascod Street will be temporarily relocated to the Charles Street service road. This will also require the rising bollard on Oxford Road East to be held in the upright position and for parking in Charles Street service road to be suspended over the three-day period.

Windsor Zone H permit holders may park at Victoria Street multi-storey car park free of charge for the duration of the works, providing a valid permit is clearly displayed at all times.

The temporary closures and associated arrangements are being put in place to enable service connections to a new development above Millets on the corner of Peascod Street and William Street.

Royal Borough officers instructed the four utility companies to provide connections to the development over the three-day period, thus avoiding four separate road closures.
