Hurley & Walthams is the most westerly ward in the Borough, bordering Wokingham Borough Council to the west, Bracknell Forest to the south and Buckinghamshire to the north. To the east it borders Bisham & Cookham, Cox Green and Bray. In Hurley & Walthams 99% of land is within the green belt, 7% of the land is in the flood plain.
The ward is rural with a scattering of villages, the largest of which is Hurley, in the northern part of the ward surrounded by small residential areas of White Waltham, Knowl Hill, Waltham St Lawrence and Shurlock Row. The M4 runs through the southern part of the ward, and the railway line between London and the West of England bisects the ward. South of the railway line is White Waltham Airfield.
