Political Composition of the Council

The Royal Borough has 57 Councillors representing the groups detailed in the table below. Borough Council elections are held every four years. 


From the 2003 Borough elections, the number of Councillors was reduced from 58 to 57 following a periodic electoral review. Since the 2003 elections:-

  • The Conservatives won the Horton & Wraysbury seat (vacated by Independent - Horton & Wraysbury) following a by-election held on 16 June 2005.
  • The Conservatives won the Eton Wick seat (vacated by Labour) following a by election held on 22 September 2005.
