Councillor Andrew Jenner was previously elected to serve the residents of St Mary's Ward (now Maidenhead Riverside Ward) from May 2000 to May 2003 and during that time served as Lead Member for Leisure and Culture and was Chairman of the Maidenhead Development Control Panel. Andrew was re-elected in 2011 and has served on a number of Panels, acting as Chairman of the Licensing Panel and Vice-Chairman of the Visitor Management Forum. In the past he has also been Chairman of the Maidenhead Carnival Committee and is still one of the longest serving members.
Andrew has lived in Maidenhead and nearby Burnham for most of his life apart from 10 years spent in Australia where he has dual nationality. He is a company managing director here and has business interests in Australia. He has worked in the community of Maidenhead and Windsor for over 25 years where his family business have been serving tea, coffee and cakes since 1959. He has been a member of the Maidenhead Chamber of Commerce for over 16 years and has been President twice.
Andrew has been a Magistrate for almost 20 years and is now one of the senior Bench Chairmen.
He was one of the founders of the successful Starfish charity for disabled children, which provides swimming and other fun water activities and is the current President. Andrew has also been the President of Maidenhead Sea Cadets for the last 12 years. Andrew hobbies are fishing, clay pigeon shooting, scuba diving, surfing, collecting vintage cars and martial arts. He has five black belts in different martial arts and I'm one of the highest ranking Tai Ju su masters in the country.Julia has been married to Andrew for 28 years. They have three grown up children and Julia is a company director in the family business. Over the last 20 years Julia has also been involved in charity fundraising especially for breast cancer through Macmillan. Together with Andrew, Julia is also co-organiser for the Maidenhead Iron Man competition, which raises money for disabled children. Her interests include dancing, keep fit and long country walks with "Rocky" their new puppy, an 8 month old English Bull Terrier.
