My News - Cllr Evans (James)

Discovering Democracy in the Royal Borough:

As a newly-elected Councillor in 2007, I have had to learn a great deal about how our Council works and how to pursue enquiries and problems.  Please don't be afraid to ring the Customer Services Centre and take a good look around this website, or ring your local councillor.  Remember, the Council has offices at the Town Hall and in Sheet Street Windsor if you wish to speak to Council staff face-to face.

This month, I am mostly...

Fulfilling my obligations to local residents:

  • by attending the Peascod Street Surgery on 6th September;
  • by attending the Clewer Dedworth and Oakley Green NAG and the local Neighbourhood Watch;
  • by attending Council meetings including the Windsor Development Control Panel;
  • by responding to the enquiries and concerns that Clewer South residents raise with me;
  • by working on a new newsletter for Clewer South:
    • encouraging residents to take up the new green waste recycling initiative (ring 01628 683800 to join the fortnightly scheme costing £29/year that starts in November);
    • encouraging residents to make contributions to the parking consultation for Windsor which continues until the end of October;
    • informing Clewer South residents about the role and recent activities of their elected councillors.
