'We, the undersigned, urge the RBWM to provide a community centre for the Hindu community of this Borough to use for the following purposes:

o Bringing together of all sections of the Hindu community
o Provision of the following services: Religious, cultural, social. Arts, sports and language. For the young and old
o As members of the interfaith movement we help to breakdown barriers and improve communication between communities
o Also a permanent place would allow: more frequent meetings, day centre facilities for the old, a venue for marriage ceremonies, a meeting place for community members, arrange of social and cultural activities, music, art and language classes, the ability to celebrate festivals as they occur, yoga classes, sports activities.'
