MINUTES - To note the minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 7 May 2009
WELCOME TO NEW HEAD OF LEGAL SERVICES AND COUNCIL MONITORING OFFICER - The Committee is asked to formally welcome Maria Lucas, the Council's recently-appointed Head of Legal Services and Council's Monitoring Officer.

ASSESSMENT SUB COMMITTEE MEETING DATES - Members of the Committee will recall that to ensure allegations of member misconduct can be assessed within the timescales set out by the Standards for England, meetings of the Assessment Sub Committee have been scheduled to take place on the first Thursday of each month.
The Committee is asked to agree the following dates for the Sub-Committee for the first six months of 2010:
7 January 2010; 4 February 2010; 4 March 2010; 1 April 2010; 13 May 2010 (delayed a week in the event of a possible General Election on 6 May); 3 June 2010

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 - EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC - To consider passing the following resolution: -
"That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the remainder of the meeting whilst discussion takes place on item 11 on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1-7 of part I of Schedule 12A of the Act"
