5. ROYAL COUNTY OF BERKSHIRE ARMY CADET FORCE
To suspend Council Procedure Rule A2.1 to receive a presentation from the Commandant of the Army Cadet Force about the role and work of the Force in Berkshire.
6. PUBLIC QUESTIONS
Yasmin Yasin of Aldebury Road, Maidenhead will ask the following questions of Councillor Grey, the Lead Member for Community Safety, Leisure & Culture:
1. "How many hackney carriage licences does R.B.W.M allow in Windsor, Ascot, Maidenhead?"
2. "Why does the Council limit these numbers of licenses and put drivers on the waiting list when they will never get a license?"

The submission of annual reports by representatives on outside bodies is welcomed to improve communication and understanding, but will you please consider (i) half yearly reports, and (ii) changing annual reports' date to the month before future appointments are made to ensure they fit the roles?
g) Question submitted by Councillor Beer to Councillor D.Wilson, the Lead Member for Planning & Housing:
Public web access to planning data is appreciated, but why is this service denied to Councillors making important decisions at Windsor Development Control Panel?
10. MOTIONS ON NOTICE
To consider the following Motions submitted under Rule A12:-
i) by Councillor Mrs Newbound:
"This Council notes the success of community-based initiatives such as the town of Modbury's voluntary moratorium on plastic bags by local retailers.
This Council resolves to:
a) write to all local supermarkets and convenience stores alerting them to the effects of throw away shopping bags on the local and wider environment, on waste recycling levels and the consequent costs to their businesses and to the council taxpayers of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.
b) request Cabinet to work in partnership with local businesses on proposals to introduce a ban, a levy or a deposit scheme for throw away shopping bags in this Borough, and subsequently conduct a consultation with residents and businesses on the proposals.
c) write to the government calling for a binding agreement with the UK Retail Sector to reduce the environmental impact of throw away shopping bags, including a levy or deposit scheme.
ii) by Councillor Mrs Proctor:
"This Council resolves to actively pursue the introduction of no cold calling zones for the protection of the Borough's residents"
iii) by Councillor J Evans:
"That this Council, recognising the bravery and dedication of our armed forces requests that the Mayor
· organises a march past and civic reception in 2008, in Windsor, to welcome home troops from the regiments based at the two barracks in Windsor and
· invites families and public to attend the event, which shall be suitably publicised"
