5. PETITIONS

To receive any petitions presented by Members on behalf of registered electors for the Borough under Rule A.10. Councillors Mrs Endacott and Mrs Newbound have given notice of petitions.

6. APPOINTMENTS TO COMMITTEES / PANELS ETC 2007 /08

Council is asked to note the appointment of Councillor Richards as a Liberal Democrat Group substitute on the Rights Of Way and Highway Licensing Panel.

7. SUPPORTING INFORMATION FOR DEDWORTH CHILDREN'S CENTRE

To note details of an urgent decision. (see report at foot of page)

8. EXCHANGE OF COMMON LAND AT MAIDENHEAD THICKET

To authorise the exchange of common land and amend the Commons Register accordingly in respect of land at Maidenhead Thicket consequent upon the compulsory acquisition of land by the Highways Agency for road improvement purposes. (see report at foot of page)

9. MEMBERS' QUESTIONS

To receive Questions submitted under Rule 11.2

a) Question submitted by Councillor Baskerville to Councillor Mrs Bateson, the Lead Member for Community Partnerships and Consultation:

Will the Lead Member advise what action she has taken, as a result of the motion to Council, about the PCT proposals for car parking charges at Community Hospitals?

b) Question submitted by Councillor Mrs Newbound to Councillor Rayner, the Lead Member for Highways, Transport and Environment:

Is the Lead Member confident that decriminalisation of parking will get rid of the illegal parking that currently blights our town centres?

c) Question submitted by Councillor Gard to Councillor Hilton, the Lead Member for Finance:

Can the Lead Member update the Council on the Government's latest position with regards to local government finance?

10. MOTIONS ON NOTICE

To consider the following Motion submitted under Rule A12:-

i) by Councillor Mrs Newbound:

"This Council condemns the continuing loss of local post offices and the difficulties this causes many local residents. It is dismayed that local councils will be the final consultees before closures are announced and calls on both the Post Office and the Government to reconsider proposals that will disadvantage many people."
