1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

2. COUNCIL PRESENTATION
To mark the long service of former Councillors and Mayors of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Michael Anthony Scott (Member from 1983 to 2007 and Mayor in 1993/94) and Anthony John Langdown (Member from 1985 to 2007 and Mayor in 1992/93), the Mayor will make a short presentation on behalf of all Members of the Council.
3. COUNCIL MINUTES
To receive the minutes of the meeting of the Council held on 27 February and the Annual meeting held on the 22 and 23 May 2007 (see minutes 63 to 80, pages 1 to 24 and minutes 1 to 12, pages 25 to 35)

To receive declarations of interests in respect of any item to be considered at this meeting.

6. PUBLIC QUESTIONS
i) Mr Ewan Larcombe of Datchet will ask the following questions of Councillor Rayner, the Lead Member for Highways, Transport and Environment:
"This Council may be aware of recently revealed Environment Agency proposals to rebuild a flood bank upstream of the Taplow Control Structure on the Jubilee River at a cost of £1.4m. Can you please explain why this flood bank needs rebuilding?"
"The innocent inhabitants of floodplain downstream of Windsor are now threatened by an ever increasing probability of flooding over which they have no control, and which affects both property values and insurance costs. In my experience, the previous administration appeared unsympathetic to their predicament. What action is this Council taking to reduce the probability of flooding downstream of Windsor."
7. PETITIONS
To receive any petitions presented by Members on behalf of registered electors for the Borough under Rule A.10.
8. APPOINTMENTS TO COMMITTEES / PANELS ETC 2007 /08
Council is asked to note the replacement of Councillor Hendry with Councillor Mrs Stock as the West Windsor Residents' Association nominated substitute on the Windsor Development Control Panel.

How many School Governor vacancies in each category (e.g. LEA, parent, community, etc.) are there currently in the Borough's schools?
b) Question submitted by Councillor Mrs Napier to Councillor Rayner, the Lead Member for Highways, Transport and Environment:
As the Lead member is concerned about the safety of residents does he agree that the UK's Community Speed Watch scheme is a good idea?
c) Question submitted by Councillor Richards to Councillor Mrs Bateson, the Lead Member for Community Partnerships and Consultation (and a Council representative on the Royal Berkshire Fire Authority):
Does the Conservative Administration give full support to the retention of a fire station in Windsor?
13. MOTIONS ON NOTICE
To consider the following Motions submitted under Rule A12:-
i) by Councillor Mrs Napier:
"This Council deplores the PCT's proposal to introduce parking charges at St. Mark's, Edward VII and Upton hospitals because of the effect that this will have on the users of the hospital services and the displacement parking into already congested roads. This Council urges the PCT to review this proposal."
ii) by Councillor Stretton:
"This Council, being aware of the slow destruction of the character of the Cookham High Street Conservation area by the increasing and uncontrolled volume of traffic mainly using Cookham Bridge
a) notes that two proposed schemes for alleviating School traffic both in Cookham Village and Cookham Rise have never been progressed.
b) notes that pedestrian traffic through The Pound is at great risk of serious injury or worse due to the totally inadequate width of the footpath and
c) requests the Lead Member to undertake efforts to evaluate options to rectify the situation."
