QUESTIONS FROM THE PUBLIC TO THE CHAIRMAN OF THE FORUM


Mr N Lancastle of Windsor :


"King Edward Court will be re-opening in the summer, and local residents already experience severe late-night disturbance from traffic around Goswell Hill. A recent planning decision refused a children's Dance School in the area because of road safety concerns.


Will the council implement a Highways scheme for the area, in partnership with local residents and the Town Centre Manager, to resolve these safety and congestion concerns before King Edward Court re-opens?"


Mr M Hinchliffe of Windsor :

I have recently moved to Windsor and it has come to my attention the speed at which vehicles travel down Arthur Road, Windsor. This is appears to be vastly above the 30mph speed limit. This is particularly a problem late at night or early in the morning when speeding coaches and heavy goods vehicles are returning to the Windsor area. As there is a school at the end of this particular road I would have thought that speeding in this area would be vigilantly enforced. Currently it does not seem to be the situation.

May I ask if there are to be any traffic calming plans implemented on Arthur Road, Windsor? If not, why not?
