WELCOME AND APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
MINUTES FROM LAST CONFERENCE - To receive the Minutes from the last Conference held on 14 September 2006
ITEMS:
- South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) Project - To receive a presentation from Old Windsor Parish Council on their work under the auspices of the SEEDA Project. This will include the establishment of the Old Windsor Partnership (made up of local people & some parish councillors), the completion of a 'healthcheck', and the formulation of business cases to obtain funding for a project. The aim is to raise awareness with other Town and Parish Councils of this SEEDA project. There will be an opportunity for discussion, and also to ask any questions.
- 'Active Rural Communities Project' - To receive a presentation from Diane Wynne Powell from the Windsor and Maidenhead Voluntary Action on a project called 'Active Rural Communities', aimed at people working together to enhance the quality of their villages and towns. There will be an opportunity for discussion and questions.
- 'Connected Berkshire' - Representatives from 'Connected Berkshire' will be present to discuss and answer questions on their work. Information on 'Connected Berkshire' can be found on the following web site address: http://www.connectedberkshire.com/
- Community Planning In The Royal Borough - Therese Lawlor, the Royal Borough's Partnership Manager, will update the Conference on this area, and discussion and questions will follow. A report on this matter is being presented to the Royal Borough's Cabinet meeting on 25 January, anda copy of the report is available to the Conference (report available on the Council's web site, under Cabinet Agenda 25 January). The Conference is encouraged to discuss aspects of the report and there will also be an opportunity for any questions.
- Community Wardens - Therese Lawlor will present an update on the Royal Borough's Community Wardens, and Members of the Conference will be able to ask questions and discuss any associated issues accordingly.
- Flooding - Development Of Flood Plans For Each Village in Partnership with RBWM/Update on Flooding Actions - The Council's Emergency Planning Officer (Darren Firth) will be present to discuss these areas, and the Conference will be bale to both ask questions and dicuss flooding matters.
Item To Commence At 8.30PM:
- Neighbourhood Policing And Other Matters - Assistant Chief Constable Nick Gargan will be present to address the Conference on this item, and the Parish Conference is encouraged to ask questions/discuss issues raised. (Representatives from Slough Parishes have also been invited to attend.)
