CONSIDERATION OF FREQUENCY OF CRIMINAL RECORDS BUREAU CHECKS FOR HACKNEY CARRIAGE AND PRIVATE HIRE DRIVERS AND PRIVATE HIRE OPERATORS

To consider a petition from Private Hire Drivers in relation to the frequency of Criminal Records Bureau checks and to consider the new national guidance.

CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTING THE DRIVING STANDARDS AGENCY DRIVING TEST FOR HACKNEY CARRIAGE AND PRIVATE HIRE DRIVERS

To consider amending the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire conditions so that it is compulsory for any new Hackney Carriage or private Hire Driver to have passed the relevant Driving Standards Agency Test for Taxi Drivers before a Licence is issued.
