NB: Since the Agenda has been published, the Council has received details from First Great Western regarding timetable changes that affect Royal Borough residents. The closing date for responses is 3 March 2006. As a result of the very short consultation period, the Leader has requested that this matter be reported to this Cabinet meeting. Hence, Cabinet will receive a presentation at the commencment of the meeting from a representative of First Great Western about the proposals. Members will have the opportunity to give instant feedback on the proposals at the meeting, and a formal, considered response will also be made by the Council to meet the consultation deadline.
PETITION
To consider the following petition:
Stop Over Development in RBWM & BFBC:
"We the undersigned support the protection of green belt and green field sites from housing and commercial development. We are opposed to the increasing trend to demolish existing properties and replace these with high-density developments. We require our elected representatives on the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and Bracknell Forest Borough Council's to cease approving such planning applications. We further call upon these Councils to adopt, through Local Development Frameworks and as a highest priority, robust local development plans that guard against high density developments which damage the character and erode the quality of life presently enjoyed in our Boroughs."
