Pools Magnet
The 25 metre pool at the Magnet is perfect for the lane swimming adults AND as a fun pool for the kids. Attached is a teaching pool for children or the less confident adult and there are 2 jacuzzis to relax in after pounding up and down the lanes.
With a variety of different sessions throughout the week there is something for everyone to jump into!
Session details and timetable
Adult lessons take place on Monday evenings. Whether you are a total beginner or looking to polish up your strokes, there is a class to suit you.

Our swimming club for children and adults with learning difficulties meets at the Magnet every Saturday 5pm - 6pm. Potential members, coaches and volunteers should visit the Starfish website.
W.A.M.D.S.A.D
Disabled swimmers are welcome to use the pool during all public sessions. W.A.M.D.S.A.D., the local sports club for the disabled, use the pool on Sundays from 8pm - 10pm.

Information
For your safety
- Limit your stay in the Jacuzzis to 15 minutes.
- Do not use the jacuzzis if you are pregnant or suffering from a heart condition, diabetes, high blood pressure or epilepsy.
- Children under 8 need to be supervised by an adult at all times.
- An adult should not supervise more than 2 children under 8.
- Whilst in the main pool, children under the age of 4 must be supervised on a one to one ratio.
- We strongly advise all non-swimmers wear suitable buoyancy aids, these are available from our shop in reception.

Swimming with young children - Hygiene and Health advice
- Always encourage young children to use the toilet before going into the pool.
- Please shower with your children before going into the pool.
- Please report any accidents your children may have in and around the pool to the lifeguard on duty immediately.
- Do not use the pool if your child has suffered from diarrhoea in the last two weeks.
- After changing nappies please dispose of them in the nappy bins provided and wash your hands.
- Do not let your child drink or gargle the pool water.
- All children under 3 (and others where appropriate) must wear swim nappies. Available at reception or in the shop.
Other Useful Information
- Baby changing facilities are available in family sized cubicles.
- Free hair-dryers available for your use.
- The creche is available Monday to Saturday - pick up a timetable from reception
- We reserve the right to refuse admission where the number of children is deemed inappropriate to the swimming ability of the adult supervisor.
- Special pool events are occasionally held resulting in the pool closing to the public. Check with reception or see centre notices.
- Family night - one child is admitted free with each paying adult Friday 5pm-8pm
Disabled residents of the Royal Borough and their helper receive FREE swimming under the scheme sponsored by the Maidenhead Advertiser. Register your membership at reception. Hoists are available on poolside, for your use upon request for the pools and Jacuzzis.
