2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games at Eton Dorney
Welcome to the Royal Borough's Olympic and Paralympic pages.
2012 is a special year for everyone in the country and the Royal Borough has an important role to play, with the sprint-canoe, rowing and kayak events right on our doorstep at Eton Dorney.
We welcome the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games and send all the athletes our very best wishes as they prepare to take part.
We also issued a warm welcome to the Olympic Torch Relay on Tuesday 10 July - day 53 of its epic journey to the Games - with an estimated 50,000 people lining the route in Maidenhead, Windsor and Ascot.
Here in the Royal Borough we are working hard to make sure everything goes smoothly and to minimise disruption to our residents and businesses.
