The Royal Borough's Business Watch Scheme was established to raise awareness about and to help prevent crime among all types of businesses in the Royal Borough. It is a partnership between the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Thames Valley Police, local Chambers of Commerce and individual businesses. The scheme can assist businesses in crime prevention by improving the flow of information between the Police and local businesses and by providing advice on making your business secure.
Successful Business Watch schemes are currently in operation on four of the boroughs Industrial and Commercial business parks and estates, including Cordwallis, Boyn Valley, Kings Grove and Reform Road. In addition, schemes have been established along the A4 corridors hotels, pubs and restaurants and in two town centres.
Your business can benefit from joining the scheme, as you will automatically be eligible to receive automated messages through the Thames Valley Police Ringmaster system. This enables information about crime - from the Police or individual companies - to be shared and disseminated instantaneously. Companies can share information when they have been victims of crime or to report on any suspicious activities they observe.
Businesses will also receive a free security consultation to make your company more secure and there are subsidised Business Watch signs and stickers, which can be used to act as a deterrent against crime.
