The Berkshire Record Office holds documents relating to the history of Berkshire from the twelfth century to the present day, including records relating to parishes, local government, the courts and local families and organisations.

Some items are kept on microfilm, including the national index to births, marriages and deaths (the 'St Catherine's House Index').
