All Borough libraries provide public access computers for free

If you want to do the following, and don't have a computer (or even if you do!), then use one of our up to date computers at your local library

Doing your homework, writing a CV, applying for a job, checking out the weather, checking your email, booking a holiday, or just browsing the latest website - Friends Reunited, YouTube, eBaY - its all here.

  • Free use of a computer for 45 minutes a day for library members (30 minutes for visitors)
  • Windows XP
  • Internet access with Internet Explorer 7
  • Office 2003 with Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Access to online subscriptions including dictionaries, newspapers and more
  • Adobe reader
  • Ability to connect USB memory devices
  • Improved help files

Larger libraries have dedicated children's computers for younger children for homework and study.
