Bookcrossing

This internationally famous site encourages people to leave books in interesting places and invites anyone finding them to update the world on what they thought about them. Check in to see if any books have been left somewhere near you.

Windsor and Maidenhead libraries released over 100 books into the wild in August 2005. Check their progress here too.  Link to the Bookcrossing website at www.bookcrossing.com .

Tangled Web

This great resource provides reviews and book digests, often from famous authors. The main focus of the site is on Crime and mystery, but there are entries on Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and Audio books too.  Link to Tangled Web at www.tangled-web.co.uk .

Amazon

And for everything else there is Amazon. Use the books tab and search away. Most books have at least the digest from the publisher but there are often reviews from customers, and you don't have to be a customer of Amazon to share your own point of view.  Link to Amazon at www.amazon.co.uk .
