Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction 2008
The Orange Prize aims to reward accessible fiction written by women, and is always popular with reading groups and readers in the Borough. This year we held our first shadowing party, where local reading groups selected Rose Tremain's The Road Home as their favourite, which coincidentally was also announced as the official winner on June 4th.
The six shortlisted titles for 2008 are:

Fault Lines by Nancy Huston

Lottery by Patricia Wood

Lullabies for little Criminals by Heather O'Neill

The Outcast by Sadie Jones

The Road Home by Rose Tremain

When We Were Bad by Charlotte Mendelson
