Library Reviews
The Borough is reviewing the public library service to assess what it offers to current users and to identify what it could do to attract new people to use its services. We wanted to learn from your experience and to hear your views about the library service. We would like to thank those of you who provided help by filling in a questionnaire or attending one of the public meetings. The purpose of the review is to find out about who uses the library service, what it offers to users and how it could improve to attract new users and increase use by existing customers. The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead wishes to make clear that this review will not lead to the closure of libraries or to reductions in opening hours. The library service needs to take account of national developments but it also should reflect local priorities as well as the Borough Council's objectives. The views of current, previous and potential users are always a major influence on any review of this kind. The responses we have received will inform the report to the Cabinet who will be considering the recommendations from the review in the Autumn.
