Maidenhead Library has a local studies room for researching local history and your family history. The Nicholson Room is based on the first floor and gives you access to thousands of photographs, books & maps relating to the Royal Borough.

We have a vast range of resources from online services to census returns and city, town, county and regional directories.

Maidenhead and Windsor libraries have the largest collections with local newspaper cuttings and newspaper archives on microfilm (you can book places).

All Borough libraries have local history books covering their surrounding area.
