Reserve items online

You can reserve books at any Borough library plus ten other public library services within our SELMS partnership; Brighton & Hove, Buckinghamshire, Camden, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hertfordshire, Medway, Milton Keynes, Kent, Slough & West Berkshire.

We also offer our Inter Library Loan service that can access many libraries in the UK. There will be a charge to place a reservation.

You can reserve books online for a small fee; at home or in the library:

• Tick box next to required item & click on Reserve Selections in top menu
• Enter your membership card number & 4-digit PIN (from home only)
• Place Reservations screen will ask you to choose location for Collection
• If you're reserving an item that isn't listed at a Borough library, please tick box against Reserve any institution in the SELMS
• Choose expiry period/enter date when reservation will be cancelled if not fulfilled
• Click Submit for screen to show reservation details and position.

Renew your items

As long as your items haven't been reserved by another customer, you can renew up to four times without showing them at a library. Renew online (you will need your membership card number & 4-digit PIN), by phoning your library (during opening hours) or by using our 24-hour renewal line 0303 123 0035.

• Click on Current Loans to display list of borrowed items
• Click box for individual items and select Renew Selections or Renew All
• Screen will show the new return date for borrowed items
• View on screen technology, creative, digital media & computer books
• Add a review about an item you've borrowed
• Set up an alert so that you will be notified of new items
• Add a review about an item you've borrowed
