Members of the Local Access Forum
· Peter Thorn (Chair)
Peter has wide experience of dealing with the competing interests and constraints of management of the countryside throughout his professional career, and is currently employed as Principal of the Berkshire College of Agriculture. He has a keen interest in access to the countryside and experience in managing an estate within the public sector.
· Dorothy Allard
Dorothy Allard has been involved with land management for the past 16 years, particularly with farmland comprising some 1800 acres in the Royal Borough.
· Guy Badman
Guy Badman represents cycling interests on the Forum.
· Teja Bains
Teja Bains represents user issues on the Forum, with particular interest in Running / Jogging, and also inter-faith issues.
· Councillor Malcolm Beer
Cllr. Beer has been an active member of every version of Committee or Panel responsible for highway or footpath matters since 1995, and has a wide range of skills and experience relating to countryside access & local government. He has a keen interest in cycling and walking.
· Margaret Bowdery
Margaret Bowdery is the founder and footpath secretary for the East Berks. Ramblers' Association, and a very keen walker. She has extensive knowledge and over 40 years experience in relation to all aspects of Public Rights of Way and the Countryside. She has been involved with the Rights of Way Liaison Group, various Recreation and Amenity Groups, National Trails Office, Scout Groups, Maidenhead Rotary Club, Disabled Ramblers' Association, and the London Sports Club for the Blind. She is also a member of the Green Way Working Group, and the Borough Tree Warden Group.
She has a lot of experience in promotion and marketing of countryside activities, and in raising funds for improvement works.
· June Brayne
June Brayne is a parish councillor for White Waltham, and has experience and involvement with Rights of Way and the Parish Path Initiative for the Parish.
· Mike Bruton
Mike Bruton is a disabled rambler, and is both founder and chairman of the Disabled Ramblers' Association. He has also been involved with a Countryside Agency steering committee preparing guidelines for Local Authorities for disabled access for Rights of Way Improvement Plans.
· Curly Carver
Curly Carver is a Warden for the National Trust, and is interested in Land Management, particularly commons and estate management.
· Bill Cathcart
Bill Cathcart is an experienced estate manager, and currently works for the Crown Estate as Superintendent of Parks for Windsor Great Park. He has a great deal of experience in balancing access and conservation, and has particular expertise with trees and their management in public open spaces.
· James Copas
James Copas is local farmer and is involved with the management of large areas of land around the Maidenhead area. James has a wide range of experience dealing with access issues from a land management perspective.
· Margaret Cubley
Margaret Cubley is a member of Bisham Parish Council and has a deep knowledge and experience of walking and access issues, as well as a wealth of knowledge about local issues.
· Loren Eldred
Loren Eldred is a local officer for the Woodland Trust, and prior to this managed the maintenance of the Thames Path and The Ridgeway. Loren represents land management interests on the forum.
· Hilary Essen
Hilary Essen represents walking issues on the Forum.
· John Foulger
John Foulger is a keen walker, and has a particular interest in the availability of access to open spaces and to footpaths in built up areas. He also has a particular sensitivity to the needs and problems experienced by wheelchair users. John is also a Bray Parish Councillor.
· Christine Gadd
Christine Gadd is a member of Sunningdale Parish Council, and has interests in the management of the public rights of way network, and with walking and cycling.
· Harry Hancock
Harry is involved with the Mid-Thames Ramblers group and is interested in walking in the countryside, protecting open spaces and preventing abuse of the public rights of way network.
· Gordon Harris
Gordon is a member of Cookham Parish Council, and is interested in public rights of way and open spaces.
· Helen Howard
Helen Howard is an experience horse rider and is also involved with Bray Parish Council. Helen represents horse riding interests on the Forum.
· Councillor Asghar Majeed
Cllr. Majeed is the Chairman of the Borough's Rights of Way and Highways Licensing Panel
· Andrew Randall
Andrew Randall is a local farmer involved with the management of land between Maidenhead and Marlow, and has a wide range of experience dealing with access issues from a land management perspective. Andrew is also the current Chairman of a local Agricultural Association.
· Councillor John Stretton
Cllr. Stretton is the Vice-Chairman of the Borough's Rights of Way and Highways Licensing Panel
