Over the last year the Grow Our Own project has been assisting local job seekers and work returners across Windsor and Maidenhead back into the local employment market. Many have developed their job skills with vocational training or personal development courses that have included job searching skills as well as introductions to specific industries such as retail and hospitality.

Grow Our Own has two main aims:

Identify local residents who want to start, or return, to work locally and prepare them for employment.

• Find out about new job opportunities across the local area

We offer services to local people that will help set you on the right track for employment - for example:

• Personal development courses in motivation, CV writing and personal presentation
• Vocation or general skills training to become 'job ready'

We work closely with local employers to understand their recruitment needs and help them match their needs with the aspirations of local people seeking employment.
