General Terms and Conditions
Conditions of service in the Royal Borough are locally determined.
The main features are as follows:
- 37 hours per week for full time staff
- Normal office hours: Monday - Thursday 8.45am-5.15pm & 8.45am-4.45pm on Fridays
- A range of flexible working patterns are available including part-time, job share, term time only etc, depending on the needs of the service
- Locally determined annual pay review is on 1 April. Annual increments are awarded until the top of the grade is reached (subject to satisfactory performance). Incremental pogression does not apply to certain management grades within the Royal Borough.
- The rate of pay for most posts in the Royal Borough is determined by our local job evaluation scheme. This ensures consistency and transparency.
- Business mileage rates (where applicable).
- 28 days annual leave entitlement (plus bank holidays) - pro rata for part time staff.
- Contributory final salary pension scheme. Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVC) facility.

Other Terms and Conditions
