Conditions of service in the Royal Borough are mainly in accordance with National Joint Council (NJC) for Local Government Services, supplemented by locally determined conditions. The main features are as follows:
37 hours per week for full time staff
Normal Office Hours: 8.45am to 5.15pm, Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 4.45pm on Friday
A range of flexible working patterns are available including part-time, job share, term time only etc, depending on the needs of the service.
The annual pay award is on 1st April. Annual increments are awarded until the top of the grade is reached (subject to satisfactory performance). Incremental progression does not apply to certain management grades within the Royal Borough.
The rate of pay for all posts in the Royal Borough (except JNC/Youth & Community, Soulbury and Teachers) is determined by our local job evaluation scheme. This ensures consistency and transparency. All our posts are also subject to market comparability, ensuring competitive salaries.

28 days annual leave entitlement (plus bank holidays) - pro rata for part time staff.
