Housing Register

To join the Council's Housing Register you must be aged 18 years or above, although young people aged 16 to 18 may apply in exceptional circumstances provided they are supported by a Social Services rent guarantee.

Applicants must also have a local connection in that they, or their partner, have lived or been in full time permanent employment within the Borough for at least six months.

Elderly applicants over 60 years old who are resident outside the Royal Borough may be accepted, providing they are not owner occupiers and they have a son or daughter who lives in the Borough and has done so for the previous five years.

Tenants of Social Landlords ie. Council and Housing Association tenants, will not be accepted on the Housing Register.

For information on the Housing Register please contact the Housing Options Team on 01628 683685 or e-mail your enquiry to housing@rbwm.gov.uk
