Home Education: Frequently Asked Questions

A parent makes the decision to home educate and withdraws their child from school (if the child is already enrolled at a school). We send an information pack to the parent with forms to fill in about details and work programme to be followed. When these are returned we send the details to one of our consultants, managed by a senior adviser in the Learning and Achievement Unit, and an appointment is made for a home visit to discuss the situation with the parent and to evaluate the quality of education being provided.  For more information and to download the form see Educating Your Child at Home.
