If you believe that the Council has not responded to your request in line with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act, you can:
1. Use the Council's Corporate Complaints Procedure
2. Complain directly to the Information Commissioner

The Information Commissioner is an independent
officer, who reports directly to Parliament. The Commissioner's role is to
ensure local authorities are complying with the act and to generate and improve
public awareness of the Act. He will expect you, if you have a complaint, to
have used the council's complaints system before he considers it.
The Information Commissioner can issue an
Information Notice, Decision Notice or Enforcement Notice. To learn more about
the Information Commissioner, visit
