What is the Freedom of Information Act?
From
January 2005, information on any topic held by any public authority is
available to the public, with a few exceptions, within twenty working days of a
written request.
You have the right to look at all types of information the council holds. Anyone requesting information from a public authority will usually be entitled to receive it. However, there are some exemptions on the information that we can release.
The act enables us to keep our residents better informed about RBWM workings. It also aims to make public authorities more open and accountable.
If you would like to request some information please complete our Freedom of Information Request Form
