Feed in Tariffs for generating electricity (FITs)

Feed in Tariffs (FITs) are now available in Great Britain and came into effect as of 1st April 2010. This scheme requires energy suppliers to make regular payments to householders and communities who generate their own electricity from renewable or low carbon sources such as solar electricity (PV) panels or wind turbines.

Grants available for renewable heat energy:

The Low Carbon Building Programme ended on 24th May 2010 and the Renewable heat incentive starts in April 2011.

TV Energy

The Royal Borough works with TV Energy, a renewable energy agency based in the Thames Valley 'To promote, educate and deliver practical sustainable energy solutions to business, organisations, communities and individuals within the Thames Valley and beyond.
