Housing Assistance Grants

Small grants of up to £2,000 may be available to help homeowners carry out minor works or adaptations to maintain a warm, safe, secure and weatherproof home. Applicants must be in receipt of an income-based benefit i.e.

Income support
Guaranteed pension credit
Housing benefit
Council tax benefit

Preference will be given to home owners who are over 60 and have owned their home for longer than three years.

Grants are for small items of repair i.e.

Minor roof repair
Boiler repair (not a new boiler)
Electrical faults (not a full rewire)
To top up warm front grants
Lifeline alarms
Minor adaptations
