Housing Assistance Grants

Small grants of up to £2,000 may be available to help homeowners carry out minor works or adaptations to maintain a warm, secure, weatherproof home.  Applicants must be in receipt of an income-based benefit i.e.

• Income support
• Guaranteed pension credit
• Housing benefit
• Council tax benefit 
• Income based job seekers alllowance 
• Disabled persons tax

Grants are for small items of repair i.e.

• Minor roof repair
• Boiler repair (not a new boiler)
• Electrical faults (not a full rewire)
• To top up warm front grants
• Lifeline alarms
• Minor adaptations
