Hairdressers and Barbers Registration

The Royal Borough in pursuance of Section 19 of the Berkshire Act 1986 maintain a register of hairdressers within the Borough.

All hairdressers and barbers who employ people, even if the employees are only part time are required to complete an application form . Once registered an officer from Commercial Services will record the information and a health and safety inspection will be carried out in due course as required by the Health and Safety at Work Etc. Act 1974.

There is no fee for this registration.
