Energy-saving lightbulbs have come of age. Nowadays they're available in
all shapes and sizes to suit all kinds of fitting: candle, round,
bayonet, screw - even dimmable and halogen. They last around 10 times as long
as traditional bulbs and each one can save more than £60 over the lifetime
of the bulb.

Get a grant to generate your own energy
If you want to save even more, grants of up to £2,500 are available to
help you generate your own energy at home. The Government's Low Carbon
Buildings Programme provides grants for technologies like solar hot water
panels and wood burning boilers.
