In a bid to help residents cut carbon dioxide emissions, reduce energy use and save money, the Royal Borough is making energy monitors available from local libraries. The energy monitors can be
borrowed for up to three weeks at a time.
To use the energy monitor, you attach a clamp to a cable next to your electricity meter. The clamp has a sensor which relays data to a monitor which displays your energy usage. Full instructions are contained in the box. You will also receive a book on green related issues.
It is hoped that showing you how much energy you are using will help reduce your energy consumption.
For more information on the energy meter and advice on installing it please visit Current Cost (external). Should you require further assistance installing the meter or have any other questions then please contact the Energy Awareness Officer on 01628 683820.
