Review of Heathrow's noise mitigation schemes - A Heathrow Airport Consultation

The above consultation period has expired and the Royal Borough's response can be accessed on the following link -RBWM response to consultation.

Heathrow Draft Noise Action Plan

Consultation is currently underway on BAA Heathrow's draft action plan to manage the impact of aircraft noise over the next five years.
The consultation is looking for YOUR views on noise relating to the current two-runway airport and not about future noise or an expanded airport.
There are five key questions on the effectiveness of the action plan to which residents are invited to respond.

The consultation began last month and runs until 5 October. You can send your responses online at www.heathrowairport.com/noise and follow the link provided for Noise Action Plan Consultation. Alternatively, here is a direct link to download the Noise Action Plan (pdf) from the BAA website.

The finalised Noise Action Plan will be published at the end of January 2010.

Heathrow Airtrack

Heathrow Airtrack is a proposed new rail link between Heathrow Terminal 5 and the existing rail network to the south and west, including Reading, Guildford and London Waterloo. It dates from the origins of Terminal 5 but is only now being progressed.

From February to April 2008, BAA held a first stage consultation on the major new works that will be required to link the Heathrow Terminal 5 station to the existing rail network in Staines.

A second stage consultation was carried out from October to December 2008 which provided an update on the scheme, introduced the proposals for a train depot in Feltham and identified the anticipated effect of the scheme on the existing rail network, including level crossings.

Following the second consultation, the scheme has been finalised: Airtrack response to consultation (external pdf)
